    The revamped BABs was such a great experience. I went for coolinary and everything we ordered was excellent! To start, I ordered the Creole Tomato Gazpacho and it was perfect for this New Orleans summer heat. My second dish was the Risotto Milanese Mare Monte, a seafood risotto and there was so much seafood in it! It was creamy and came out piping hot. So fresh! I topped off my meal with the BABs Tiramisu and I'm still thinking about it. This coolinary menu was such a great deal. I also ordered a D'Asti Spritz from the happy hour and it was incredible. I was with 2 others and they ordered a vermouth over ice and the Judgement of Paris which is a clarified milk punch and they were raving about both. Our server was so kind and helpful, the bartender even stopped by and he was so friendly. I loved the art in the building, the overall ambience was very romantic and chic. I can't wait to go back!

    As locals that like to try new restaurants, this place absolutely blew us away. Our waitress was the sweetest, explaining all of the items and giving recommendations. The drinks were just as delicious as the food was. Every time we tried a new drink or food, all we could say was wow. And the vibes inside were just so cute and welcoming. Loved how the kitchen was open. 10/10 will come back

    My wife and I came to Bywater American Bistro for our anniversary, and we were glad we did! Vibes are a 10/10. It has an industrial warehouse vibe but that is cutesy / artsy. Definitely a hipster type vibe (which is great). Food - everything we had was good! We said we'd order everything we got again. We got the octopus (appetizer), burrata (appetizer), Lasagna (main), Cavatelli (main). While we enjoyed all the things, the Octopus was the hands down the best item we got. It was cooked perfectly and so flavorful! We both left stuffed! Service was good. If you are interested in seeing the chef cook your food, then make sure to ask for a seat by the bar. Everyone from the hostess to waiter to bus boys were attentive and giving us water. Make a reservation before (since it's kind of small). Parking was easy since they had their own lot. Would recommend!

    Nina Compton in NOLA does not need an introduction but in case you do not know, she is a James Beard award winning Saint Lucian chef currently serving New Orleans. BABs did not disappoint. We made resys for 6 pm and was not aware they had a happy hour from 5-7 so that was a plus. We tried a little bit of this and that, and everything was wonderful and service was great. Gorgeous restaurant with plenty of parking.
